Park Lane is a London legend.
Few if any London streets are able to conjure in the mind such a sense of opulence, quality, social standing and outright wealth. No other street can boast multiple 5* hotels including The Grosvenor House Hotel and The Dorchester.
Park Lane runs on a North South line with the monuments, Marble Arch in the North and Hyde Park Corner in the south. Along most of its length there is a central grassed area. This is where one can find London’s wonderful and moving memorial to the animals that served in War.
Park lane has been a fashionable residential address since the 18th Century. It was then populated with very grand private residences. The lane itself was single track and quiet so the houses really benefitted from being right on Hyde Park. Now the street is rather noisy and has three lanes in each direction making a very distinct border to the West edge of Mayfair
